Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 July 2026
Neonidais an independent, unofficial fan project for players of Grand Theft Auto VI. We try to collect as little as possible, and we’ll always be straight with you about it. This page explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. It’s written for UK GDPR; if you’re in the EU the same rights apply.
Who we are
Neonidais run by an individual fan (the “data controller”), not a company, and is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two. For any privacy question or request, email corrections@neonida.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address — only if you join the waitlist. We use it for one thing: to email you about the launch and major updates. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it anytime (see below) — there’s an unsubscribe link in every email.
- Your progress and goals — stored on your device only. Checklist ticks and any launch-day goals you claim are saved locally in your browser (IndexedDB). This never leaves your device and is never sent to us — clearing your browser data removes it. No account, no login.
- Anonymous usage analytics. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to see which pages are useful. It sets no cookies, doesn’t track you across sites, and doesn’t collect data that identifies you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in improving the site.
Who else processes your data
- Resend — stores the waitlist list and delivers our emails.
- Vercel — hosts the site and provides the cookieless analytics.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and we’ll clear the waitlist a reasonable time after launch once it’s served its purpose. On-device data stays until you clear it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time — just email corrections@neonida.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
This is a general-audience information site and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13; if you believe a child has given us their email, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes affecting the waitlist will be noted to subscribers.
