The game is set in Leonida, a fictional US state, and Vice City returns as a central location — both officially confirmed by Rockstar.

Leonida is widely assumed to be based on Florida (Vice City ≈ Miami), but Rockstar has never officially called it that — so we label it rumoured, not fact.

How big is the GTA 6 map?

There’s no official size figure. Estimates commonly put Leonida at roughly 1.5–2× the size of GTA V’s map — treat any exact square-mileage number as an estimate, not a confirmed stat.

Beyond Vice City, more regions are expected (names circulate for keys and outlying towns), but only Leonida and Vice City are officially confirmed.
