Should you pre-order GTA 6?
Pre-order only if you want the Vintage Vice City Pack — the pre-order bonus included with both the Standard and Ultimate editions, as long as you order before launch on November 19, 2026. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026. There’s no gameplay or story locked behind pre-ordering — it’s the cosmetic bonus and starting on day one, nothing more, so there’s no rush unless you want the pack.
Which edition should you buy?
Buy Standardif you mainly want to play the game. You get the complete story and the same pre-order bonus — you’re not locked out of any of the campaign.
Buy Ultimate(+$20) if you want the extra digital content and like to start with everything unlocked. Rockstar hasn’t indicated any missions or story are exclusive to it, so it’s a collector’s choice, not a gameplay one.
Both editions include the Vintage Vice City Pack — but only if you pre-order before launch (November 19, 2026). Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026.
